Privacy
This page covers what Talus Review LLC ("Talus," "we") collects through talusbidreview.com and the tools that handle it. It's short because we collect very little.
Email signups
When you sign up for the checklist, your email address, your project stage if you pick one, and where you found us go to Kit, the service we use to send email. You can unsubscribe from any email, and we'll delete your details on request.
Bookings
Payments go through Stripe. We see your name, email, the project details you enter at checkout, and what you bought. We never see or store your card or bank details. Your booking details are also added to Kit so we can send your review and follow-up notes.
Your documents
Bids, drawings, and contracts you upload are covered by our engagement terms: kept confidential, used only for your review, and deleted 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them longer.
Advertising and site measurement
We count visits to this site ourselves: which page was viewed, the site or link that sent the visit, the country, and whether it was on a phone or a computer. We also count clicks on the booking buttons, file downloads, and checklist form submissions. This count uses no cookies and records nothing that identifies you.
So we can tell which posts, articles and partners actually help people, your browser keeps a short note for 30 days of the site or link that first brought you here and the page you landed on. It's kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. If you sign up for the checklist or book a review, that note is saved with your signup in Kit or your booking in Stripe. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
This site uses the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It records page visits and checklist signups so we can tell whether our posts and ads reach people who find the site useful, and so Meta can show our ads to people likely to be interested. Meta may use cookies to do this.
When you book a review, we also send Meta a record of the purchase: the amount and an encrypted (hashed) version of your email address and ZIP code, which Meta uses to match the purchase to an ad you may have seen. We don't send your name, your project details, or your documents.
To limit this, you can adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or use a content blocker. The site works the same either way.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with builders.
